Agriculture

The mission of the Agriculture Committee is to increase awareness and to promote the importance of production agriculture in southwest North Dakota. Activities include the West River Livestock Show, Ag Calendar, Bull Days Showcase, 4-H Picnic, Research Center Field Days Ag Barbecue, Ag Week Luncheon and youth activities and educational activities.


Airport Promotions

  • Meets 3rd Thursday of the month at 7 a.m.

The mission of the Airport Promotions Committee is to promote the Dickinson Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport to area residents. This includes promoting commerce through the air service provider, commercial airlines, airport improvements, and any business entity that would want to locate at the airport. The Chamber Airport Promotions Committee works in cooperation with the Dickinson Airport Authority. Activities include "Planes on the Prairie," working to enhance commercial air service and to plan various airport promotions.

  • Meets 3rd Friday of every month at 8 a.m.

The mission of the Ambassadors Committee is to promote and welcome new and growing businesses in the Dickinson area and to provide community information to new and expanding businesses. It also serves to maintain and grow membership in the chamber.  Activities include ribbon cuttings, Sampling of Sicily, Hometown Pride Awards and other special projects.

The Board of Directors is vested with the governing and policy making responsibilities of the Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce. It also controls its property and finances. It adopts rules, regulations and by-laws consistent with the purpose of the Chamber.


Education

  • Meets 4th Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m.

The mission of the Education Committee is to cultivate healthy relationships between business and education for the Dickinson area and southwestern North Dakota. Activities include Educator-Business Awards, New Educators' Breakfast, and Teacher Appreciation Week.


Governmental Affairs

  • Meets 2nd Thursday of the month at 4 p.m.

The mission of the Governmental Affairs Committee is to promote and provide a forum for an open dialogue between government, business, education and the community for the Dickinson area and southwest North Dakota. Activities include Candidate Forums, Legislative Forums, Southwest Night at the Legislature, and Community Award nominations.

Marketing 

 Klint Sickler, Marketing Chairman & Board Representative

  • Meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at 8:00 a.m.

The mission of the Marketing Committee is to promote the Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce, its goals, and its successes to the Dickinson area and southwestern North Dakota.   Activities include developing graphic design standards for the chamber, new website development and collateral materials.


 Military Affairs

  • Meets 1st Monday of the month at 4 p.m. in the months of September, October, November, March, April and May

The mission of the Military Affairs Committee is the promote and celebrate active and inactive members of the United States Armed Forces in the Dickinson area and southwest North Dakota. Activities include the Armed Forces Day luncheon and hosting special events on Memorial Day and Veterans Day.


Promotions & Retail

Audrey Zins, Chairman        Elaine Myran, Board Representative
Committee Members:  Lynette Heidecker,  Amanda Ortmeir, Mary Massad,  Connie Christensen, Ryan Miller, and Lorrie Nantt

  • Meets 1st Tuesday of the month at Noon

The mission of the Promotions/Retail Committee is to promote the chamber, business in Dickinson, the community of Dickinson and southwestern North Dakota. It is also charged with sponsoring events that encourage area residents to shop in Dickinson and that improve the quality of life in our community. Activities include Shop Dickinson Campaign, Chamber Bucks, Chamberize After Five, Denim Days and the Dickinson Christmas Extravaganza.


3on3 Hoopfest

Blaine Stockert and Lynn Andres, Co-Chairmen
Committee Members:  Bill Bemman, Bill Hall, Gwen Hall, Lynn Hill, Tim Loegering, Tim Priebe, and Pam Weidner.

 The 3on3 Hoopfest is an event in which the chamber shares the revenue with the Dollars for Scholars program. The event is held the last weekend in April or the first weekend in May.
