  • North Dakota is bordered on the north by Canada, on the west by Montana, on the south by South Dakota and on the east by Minnesota.

 

  • The state covers 70,704 square miles, the 19th largest of the 50 states.

 

  • The highest point in North Dakota is White Butte at 3,506 feet and is located in southwestern North Dakota near Dickinson.

 

  • North Dakota is approximately 340 miles long and 211 miles wide.
