Strom Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Dickinson State University

Through a grant from North Dakota's Center of Excellence Initiative, this institute focuses on developing high paying jobs and creating new businesses in western North Dakota. Initial funding is being used to partner with Killdeer Mountain Manufacturing to identify issues and develop solutions involving supply chain transparency, employee communications and advanced manufacturing technology. This DSU-based center offers a comprehensive network of export service providers dedicated to assisting the state's business community. The service network includes international shippers, law firms, bankers and other export trade professionals who are ready to help companies succeed in the global marketpace. Job Service North Dakota Job Service North Dakota assists businesses in acquiring qualified workers. Job Service also has several opportunities for businesses to access training funds. State programs like Workforce 2020 and the New Jobs Training Program can provide businesses with funds to upgrade the skills of their current employees or to train new employees. North Dakota Procurement Assistance Center (ND PAC) ND PAC provides clients with counseling and information regarding marketing their goods and services to federal agencies, and state and local governments. They assist clients with understanding federal, state and local government requirements applicable to contracting for services, manufacturing, construction or other markets. They provide counseling services (applications, certifications, and registrations), locating solicitations, submitting proposals and post award activities. They advise and assist clients in pursuing and securing subcontracting opportunities from prime contractors. They also provide any other training that may directly assist clients in obtaining or performing on government contracts and subcontracts.
